  • The City is almost entirely protected by 60km of dikes, which are critical to protecting the City’s low-lying areas and key infrastructure from river flooding. Ride horses, walk and cycle amidst the beautiful natural scenery that the dikes present. The lands around the dikes are also habitat for abundant wildlife and many species of birds, making the dike system a favourite area for naturalists and bird-watchers.
